They are currently seeking a Purchasing and Logistics Executive to be based in Houston, USA. The successful candidate will report into the General Manager - Military Supply Division who is based in Dubai.

This is a newly created role and the successful candidate will manage procurement volumes of approx 10 million US Dollars a year.

This will mainly be class 4 construction materials - lumber, e-glass, electrical and plumbing and consumable general technical stores, tools, maintenance equipment.

You will need to quote quickly and competitively to the customer and you will liaise with the appropriate freight forwarder to deliver orders efficiently,

In addition you will ensure process/procedure compliance to local rules and regulations and in accordance with our clients SOP's.



Knowledge and Skills:

You will be an accomplished Procurement Manager ideally with experience of sourcing for US DOD contracts, FAR, AIDAR, DFAR etc. Ideally your experience should be supported by a Degree and / or professional Procurement qualifications.

You should be familiar with National Stock Numbers (NSN) and experienced in sourcing direct from manufacturers as well as via wholesalers and other "middle men".

You must have the ability to understand the technical and operational aspects of multi-modal transport and camp services.

You must be able to multi-task routine and complex purchasing contract activities with the ability to overview situations, review and evaluate, defining set plans to achieve business goals.

You will be energetic, highly motivated, results oriented and capable of working in a team. Capable of independent thought and possess excellent planning, organisation and negotiating skills, able to work to tight deadlines, you should be fluent in written and spoken English and have a strong attention to detail.

Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.

You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural Company.

Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be IT / PC literate particularly in Excel and spreadsheets.
