Description: The Registered Nurse position is with a leading provider of specialist care for people with complex physical, mental and neurological needs. The Nurse is a vital part of the medical team that consists of a medical director and nurses specialising in epilepsy, medical coordinators and private therapists. The Nurse ensures that all service users` health needs are assessed and managed holistically. This will involve a stimulating range of activities such as assessing service users` needs; analysing, reviewing and monitoring case histories, personal plans and care packs; coordinating with GPs, care managers, service users and parents. It will also include training staff, such as support workers, in epilepsy treatment and medicines. There is no shift working involved in this role. Applications from ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged.
