We are acting as a second tier recruitment supplier to a UK focussed recruitment consultancy and solutions provider specialising in technology. They work with organisations of all sizes to deliver recruitment solutions that improve and enhance their clients access to the skills and resource they are looking for.
Their client is a leading IT systems, services and products company employing 11,400 people with an annual revenue of £1.7 billion. Its business is in enabling its customers to realise their objectives by exploiting information technology through its integrated product and service portfolio. This includes consulting, applications, systems integration, managed services and product for customers in the private and public sectors including retail, financial services, telecoms, and government, defence and consumer sectors.
They are seeking a Test Analyst to be based at a site in Hampshire.
The position is permanent. All candidates must hold current Security Clearance to SC level or be willing and eligible to undergo the process (which requires a minimum of 5 years permanent residency in the UK).
The role is that of a Tester, with an expectation of a high degree of technical testing knowledge and the ability to mentor more junior members of staff. The role forms part of a growing team on a project contracted to supply both hardware and software infrastructure solutions.
You will review requirements and design documents to determine the scope of testing.
You will produce test plans, scoping the testing to be performed at a high level.
You will create Test Scripts, using Test Director, to implement that Test Plan.
You will manually run/evidence such scripts, raising defects as necessary.
You will produce Test Reports, summarising the testing performed.
You will participate in formal and informal reviews of the above.
You will support demonstrations.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ideally you will be an accomplished Test Engineer with a high degree of technical testing knowledge and testing experience (planning and executing) and applications testing experience.
Key areas of knowledge that you will have are knowledge and experience in are, Whole life-cycle test management experience ; Windows 2003 Server ; production of Test Plans, Test Scripts and Test Reports; Windows / Infrastructure based test; Windows 2003, Windows XP SP2 & Office 2003.
You will be ISEB / ISQTB foundation certified, also Mercury Test Director / HP Quality Centre.
Knowledge and skills which are desirable but not essential are: Experience of Test Management tools; ideally Quality Centre/Test Director; LoadRunner, Winrunner or QTP;
Radia or Netcool or Exchange or Sanctuary, Defence Testing, Knowledge of MOSS / Sharepoint, Meridio or Digilink, knowledge of Active Directory / GPO`s / security clampdowns.
Ideally you will be ISEB / ISTQB Advanced Certified.
Experience of testing in the defence sector or working in a secure environment is desirable.
You should also be able to mentor more junior members of staff.
