Location: Rugby
Salary: £27,177 (Grade 2)
Hours: 42 per week, 4 on 4 off shifts


A Storeperson is required to manage the Raw Material Stores and Goods in area for a global company. The suitable candidate will ensure the traceability of Raw Materials at all times by utilising company procedures. They will order Raw Materials through the Kanban systems. The Storeperson will keep accurate records of stock transactions including identify and analysing discrepancies on materials records, stock taking and perpetual stock taking. The successful candidate will be computer literate (Microsoft office: Word, Excel, Access) and hold a fork lift licence (FLT). The Storeperson will work with and support the Purchasing Department. Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment or administrative role would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
Every employee shall observe the HSE rules defined at the site level (procedures, instructions, operating modes etc.). They shall report to their Manager immediately about any environmental issues and any risks or dangerous situations.
Ensure through company procedures traceability of Raw Material at all times.
Ordering Raw material through kanban system and Sub Contract Processes and managing both on Movex.
Receive all deliveries including Tooling, Sub Contract, Raw Material and other general deliveries, check the delivery and its paperwork are correct, book into computer system and maintain traceability, contact recipients / customers within factory and action discrepancies.
Issue material to shop floor and record onto computer system the resultant usage.
Issue Sub contract deliveries to the relevant manufacturing area, ensuring correct sign off and hand over procedure.
Manage the Raw Material and Tool Stores to maintain accurate records of stock transactions including identify and analyse discrepancies on materials records, stock taking and perpetual stock taking.
Support internal customers by stock taking tooling items around the factory.
Put away stock items into specified locations.
Maintain accurate record keeping in accordance with company procedures.
Operate to and apply group / Company Policies and procedures.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in and around the stores.
Active role with internal and external audits.
To work with and support the Purchasing Department.
In addition to the duties/responsibilities listed, the jobholder may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as management may reasonably require.

Skills / Knowledge:
Technical skills:
Computer literacy (Microsoft office: Word, Excel, Access)
Fork lift license

Behaviour skills:
Good communicator, both spoken and written
Able to work on own initiative
Will be methodical and precise in working practises
Good listening skills
