They are aggressive players in both the retail, catering and on trade market and enjoy a robust traditional Cash and Carry and delivered business.
They provide a centralized trading and marketing operation to all their Members. Utilising their huge negotiating power, wealth of own brand initiatives and aggressive promotional support.
To support their rapid growth and development of business they are currently looking to recruit an additional Trader with wholesale experience to join the team based at their offices in Buckinghamshire.
The remit will be to manage branded frozen and chilled products and soft drinks categories.
Key result areas will be Overriders • Promotional Activity • Trading Income • Tactical • Insight • Central Pricing • Membership Support • Category and Joint Business Planning • Central Distribution – managing cost of service, developing range and income.
Knowledge and Skills:
Buyers with Chilled or Frozen or Soft Drinks experience are of particular interest although applications are welcome from applicants with strong buying and trading experience, whether its foodservice, cash and carry or retail background.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong business planning skills and strong negotiating ability.
Computer literacy is required, coupled with data manipulation interpretation skills. Candidates should be familiar with other market tools.
The successful candidate will need to display creativity and imagination, as well as appreciation of foodservice, wholesale and retail grocery markets.
Candidates should possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have proven negotiation and analytical skills.
