We are acting as a second tier recruitment supplier to a UK focussed recruitment consultancy and solutions provider specialising in technology. They work with organisations of all sizes to deliver recruitment solutions that improve and enhance their clients access to the skills and resource they are looking for.
Their client is a leading IT systems, services and products company employing 11,400 people with an annual revenue of £1.7 billion. Its business is in enabling its customers to realise their objectives by exploiting information technology through its integrated product and service portfolio.
This includes consulting, applications, systems integration, managed services and product for customers in the private and public sectors including retail, financial services, telecoms, and government, defence and consumer sectors.
They are seeking a Middleware Engineer to be based at a site in Canary Wharf, London. The position is permanent.
The role is to perform the build, configuration and installation duties, thereby assisting the Architects and allowing them to focus on design work.
You will be implementing, patching and updating solutions and components including Oracle Fusion Middleware (WebLogic, SOA, OSB, Portal), Apache and Tomcat under the direction and guidance of the assigned Customer Solution Architect.
You will liaise with Support, Architects, Vendors, Network, DBA and Server teams.
You will be building, configuring, installing, integrating and administering.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished Middleware Engineer and have knowledge and experience of UNIX skills: Red Hat Linux or Solaris.
You should also have knowledge and experience of :
Oracle WebLogic Server 11g (10.3.x). Experience of earlier versions of WebLogic viz. 9.x, 8.x is desirable.
Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g (11.1.1.x) including SOA and OSB.
Experience of Oracle WebLogic Portal – 11g, 9.x is desirable.
Apache HTTP server. Any experience of Oracle HTTP Server will be a bonus.
Oracle WebLogic Server 11g (10.3.x). Experience of earlier versions of WebLogic viz. 9.x, 8.x is desirable.
Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g (11.1.1.x) including SOA and OSB.
Experience of Oracle WebLogic Portal – 11g, 9.x is desirable.
Apache HTTP server. Any experience of Oracle HTTP Server will be a bonus.
You will be experienced with Apache web server, Apache Tomcat and Jboss.
Ideally you will possess relevant certifications in the above technologies.
You will be used to working in a busy environment.
Ideally you will have Financial Services experience.
