Description :

Responsibilities:

- Plant optimisation, modification and re-fits and identifying and implementing long term improvement programmes. Advise on best cost effective solutions to equipment repairs and upgrades and carry out analysis of data for sorting operations and provide information for optimal operation in terms of throughput and quality. - Provide general technical and specialist support for plant operations and maintenance as directed by the Technical Manager. Undertake projects of a technical nature aimed at optimising the operation of the clients facility. A key measure will be the reduction of cost and improvement of operational efficiency. Manage and organise project management of plant optimisation, modification and re-fits. - Assist in, determine and implement agreed solutions and actions on long term operation and maintenance issues. - Support the development of the maintenance strategy for the facilities and long term maintenance plans. - Assist in the development of operational and maintenance procedures. - Provide general and specialist technical support for plant operations and maintenance. - Identify and implement efficient working practices. - Undertake projects of a technical nature aimed at optimising the facility. - Develop and implement technical improvements for process operations and maintenance. - Carry out analysis of data for the operation and provide information for optimal operation in terms of emission, throughput, heat and power generation. - Analyse, assist and implement improvements for long-term maintenance problems. - Become an expert in an assigned area of operation in support of the clients business function. - Provide quality control and report of planned maintenance and improvements. - Ensure and monitor the best O&M is delivered across operating facilities. - Carry out technical audits in a specific discipline. - Promote through good working practice positive employee relations. - Promote a safety conscious attitude toward operational activities through sound safe systems of work, accurate and timely reporting and investigation of incidents. - Prepare and analyse technical information as required by technical and site management. - Production of reports, data, analysis and business models on specific projects. - Assist in establish working arrangement with technology providers. - Ensure effective relationship with other departments to plan activities together. - Produce monthly report on technical activities. - Participate in the clients technical meetings.

Applicant Requirements:

- Ideally educated to Degree level or time served in Mechanical / Electrical / Process Engineering. - Conversant with MS packages. - Previous working background within the process industry. - Experience of Environmental Legislation i.e. WID. - Problem solving skills. - Team Player. - Health & Safety awareness. - Self motivation. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels. - Valid driving license.
