Salary:£8.39 for a Support Operative (Fitter`s mate) to £11.93 for a Fitter Level 1


Lightning Conductor Fitters are required to install equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The role will involve producing adequate paperwork in accordance with standard operating procedures whilst ensuring a working knowledge of the code of practice for protection of structures against lightning (BSEN62305) is maintained. The successful applicant will ideally be an experienced lightning conductor fitter and hold a current CSCS card however, this is not essential as training will be provided. A full driving licence and a willingness to travel is vital as the role requires working away from home on occasion

To successful candidate will represent the Company on any contract undertaken for the supply and installation of equipment and to undertake works to the satisfaction of the Company and Client.

The main duties will be those determined by the Manager and include but are not limited to the following:

To install equipment in a safe, workmanlike and efficient manner
To adhere to all Operative Working Rules
To adhere to Standard Operating Procedures
To follow instruction given by Supervisor or Manager
To present completed paperwork to comply within timescales set
To ensure any equipment under control is fit for and is used for the purpose for which it is intended.
To ensure hired plant is used as efficiently as possible and is on hire for as short a period as possible and returned to the Hire Company or stores as soon as its operation is complete.
The Lightning Conductor Fitter will represent him/ herself in a neat and tidy manner and with a positive courteous attitude and to wear at ALL TIMES whilst on site PPE issued.
To liaise on site with Clients staff and/or Main Contractor as necessary
To maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the current code of practice
To attend any training sessions deemed necessary by the Company, and maintain abilities befitting your grade as issued by the governing bodies
