Our Client is part of a large building products group and is the UK`s leading manufacturer of clay building products, serving all sectors of the construction industry and is renowned for being innovative and forward thinking. They have 26 manufacturing sites across the UK.
They are seeking a Territory Manager to join their sales team dedicated to looking after specification customers in the South West of England. The position is permanent.
The role is about balancing the conflicting demands of our customer’s ambitious building plans against their production capacity, whilst enhancing their market penetration and profitability.
You will develop and enhance commercially beneficial relationships with Architects, Specifiers, Developers and Major Brick Work Contractors.
You will increase sales of the range of special shapes and components.
You will manage order intake and pro-actively drive the choice of products available to customers by factory location, product type and value to their business.
You will work closely with your internal twin and deal with site specific issues such as scheduling, technical advice and complaints.
You will use the CRM system and customer data to increase sales and identify opportunities for introducing new products or product substitutions.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished Business Development Manager with a proven track record of selling to house builders.
You will be PC/ IT literate and able to interpret data to identify key trends and opportunities to increase profitability.
You will be able to adjust to rapidly changing business environment.
You will possess excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
You will be well organised, numerate, analytical and focussed.
You will be able to work in a team environment and be an effective team player.
You should possess a clean Drivers Licence.
Salary will be negotiable depending upon skillset and experience and likely to be in a range of £25-30k . In addition a car will be provided. Other benefits include 25 days holiday rising to 28 days plus bank and public holidays, pension and death in service benefit.
