Description :
The Site Operations Supervisor will ensure labour levels are managed to maintain excellent quality of service to customers. Further areas of responsibilities include the following:
Key Responsibilities
*Managing stores labour, ensuring that suitable levels of staffing are maintained and that workload and costs are controlled within budgetary limits as set by the Site Manager.
*To work with Stock Office to ensure customer requirements are consistently met. You will need to have a working knowledge of the Stock Management Systems for occasional deputising duties, although specific software training will be provided.
*Oversee customer`s operational and administrative management in order to ensure that service levels are maintained at the required levels. This requires a pro-active supervision approach in order to ensure that customers receive first class service levels and that the site meets their quality requirements
*Ensure that all customers` requirements are met in terms of service level, responsiveness and contractual liabilities
*Ensure the necessary cleanliness levels are maintained within the warehouse
*Manage the day to day operation of the cold store in accordance with Health and Safety at Work legislation
*Safe and efficient management of space utilisation
*Safe and efficient management of the use of mechanical handling equipment and other equipment
*Maintain excellent working relationships with customers, Environmental Health Officers, DEFRA/MHS representatives
Person Specification
*Strong people management and communication skills, experience of managing/motivating staff.
*Knowledge of the Stock Management Systems and Stock Procedures - training will be provided where relevant
*A \"can do\" attitude, a pragmatist, IT literate, numerate, forward thinking, pro-active
*Experience of working in the cold storage industry would be beneficial
