Our client is the largest military-style fitness and educational teaching service for schools across the UK. They work in partnership with Teachers so that schools benefit from the learning and development outcomes of their work.

Established since 2007, they have delivered outstanding lessons in fitness and team building to thousands of children and young people, all linked to the National Curriculum.
Their highly trained instructors bring out the best in everyone who takes part, regardless of their level of ability.
Results are seen not only in the playground but also in the classroom. They are funded by the Department for Education to roll out their existing business model nationwide.
They are currently looking for people who would like to work with young people alongside Teachers in both primary and secondary schools, delivering military style fitness and team building sessions to pupils who are often disengaged. Specifically vacancies will be arising in the Blackpool area. The positions are permanent.
Full training is given, during which you will be paid, to be conducted from our clients central office. Consisting of a 4 week programme which will be classroom and session based working in schools and our clients training centre.
Successful completion of the training will mean that you will obtain an active IQ qualification in teaching adolescent’s health and fitness through a military style. You will also gain a First Aid at Work qualification, Safeguarding children level 3 and you will have Child Psychology training and Business Coaching training.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ideally you will be a Military / Ex-Military Physical Training Instructor (PTI) with some teaching experience or as a minimum have attended promotion courses (NCO Cadres) with man management experience.
Clearly you must be physically fit.
Experience of working with young people from a variety of cultural backgrounds and ages up to 16 is highly desirable.
Previous involvement in the organisation and planning of outdoor physical activities is also desirable.
You should have an understanding of levels of knowledge and skills appropriate at different ages.
You will possess excellent communication, organisational and presentational skills and be able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive professional attitude.
You will have excellent inter-personal skills and have the ability to work collaboratively.
You must have a full UK Drivers Licence and ideally a current First Aid Certificate.
Ideally you will have knowledge of safeguarding issues in education.
You should have a strong personal commitment to equal opportunities in practice which encompasses gender, race, religion, disability and sexual orientation.
Ideally you will already have CRB or Enhanced CRB clearance.
The salary range is £16- 24k but for the first four weeks of training you will be paid at a rate of £15,000 per annum pro rata. In addition there a bonus scheme (details to be confirmed) which should bring your on target earnings to around £27,000 per annum.
