An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager who has experience within the Telecommunications arena and a proven track record of successful delivery of large scale Telecom Projects. The Project Manager must be able to demonstrate key Project Management requirements and skills to ensure successful completion of Projects plus an understanding and adherence to PM methodology.
This Project Manager must be qualified in one of recognised PM accreditation i.e. PMI, PMP or Prince2. The Project Manager must pro-actively deliver, and wherever possible exceed, the agreed objectives by leading a project team in the planning, development, monitoring and delivery of an integrated design, procurement and construction programme. An understanding of NRSWA and its relevance within BDUK with the deployment of Street Cabinets within the Public environment would be an advantage.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
External:
*Ensure that the client fully understands the skills that they are procuring by taking a lead role in the Work Winning effort that will secure the contract.
*Ensure that the project is delivered as agreed with the client by effectively overseeing all issues around risks, contracts and communications.
*In line with Values and Sustainability agenda, to determine and deliver the appropriate quality and style for the project(s), and thus ensure that the reputation of the Business Unit is enhanced with the local community, delivery partners and, most of all, the client.
Internal:
*To have overall responsibility to ensure that everyone on site, including his/her team, is working in accord with `Target Zero\\` Health & Safety Strategy.
*To ensure that all procurement items are identified and adequately placed with the procurement department to enable the contract programme to be carried out.
*To take the lead in ensuring the effective management of performance, training and budgets, to ensure that the project is cash-positive, well-coordinated and runs in accord with the agreed contract programme.
Key Skills and Candidate Requirements:
*Relevant experience within the Telecommunications arena, with proven track record of successful delivery of large scale Telecom Projects. Demonstrate the key Project Management requirements and key skills to ensure successful completion of Projects and be able to show understanding and adherence to PM methodology.
*Be qualified in one of recognised PM accreditation i.e. PMI, PMP or Prince2.
*Demonstrable experience of working with/for BT Openreach or BT Group would be advantageous, either directly or for a BT Group supplier.
*Understand P&L\\`s and demonstrate financial terminology awareness and understanding.
*Have strong numeracy skills to support financial controls.
*Understanding of NRSWA and its relevance within BDUK with the deployment of Street Cabinets within the Public environment.
*Possesses knowledge of one complex functional or business area.
*Track record of success in supporting a major business contract, Business Unit or region and/or providing support to a professional function.
*Likely to have strong managerial and/or technical experience. Professional membership and relevant qualifications desirable.
