Our client is the world`s leading independent manufacturer of DC high voltage power supplies, x-ray generators and Monoblock X-ray sources. Their organization encompasses facilities in the USA, Mexico, Europe, Japan and China devoted to design, production, service and customer support. In addition, they maintain satellite sales offices on several continents, strategically positioned to support our global OEM customers. Our Client’s European headquarters are located in a 20,000 sq. ft. facility in West Sussex and they are currently seeking a Test & Repair Technician. The position is permanent.
Reporting to the Production Cell Manager, as the Test & Repair Technician you will be responsible for the testing, repair and rework of production high voltage power supplies.
You will complete test reports and documentation in line with the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
You will carry out the upgrade and modification of production high voltage power supplies in accordance with ‘change documentation’ as per the QMS
You will raise change documentation for any build documentation where relevant.
You will liaise with the Design and Sales Teams as required.
You will keep yourself informed of ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environmental requirements, and commit to achieving the Company’s business, Quality and Environmental objectives and policies.
You will support Environmental Management System (EMS) and Improvement Team activities.
You will continuously seek new ‘green’ opportunities and suggest ways the business can improve.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will ideally be an accomplished Test and Repair Technician with your practical experience supported by an HNC/HND in Electronic Engineering.
You will be experienced in the use of test equipment/systems and relevant test procedures/specifications
You will be aware of the dangers of working with high voltages and associated safety requirements
You will be familiar with workmanship standards and repair techniques.
You must be able to work under pressure to demanding time scales.
You must be able to follow formal procedures and methodologies in accordance with ISO9001 & ISO14001.

Our client offers a salary of £24,000 per annum; in addition there are a range of benefits which includes profit share and pension scheme.
