They have a client who is a leading NZ contractor who is a clear market leader with a reputation for innovative project delivery.
They are currently working on multi-million dollar projects across both the North and South Islands and due to projects won require experienced and talented Estimators to assist their Christchurch tenders.
The positions are permanent.

You will forecast cost and value and will maximise value recovery.
You will undertake commercial activities with a high degree of acumen.
You will lead and prepare the complete commercial and pricing element of a tender or cost plan.
You will manage subcontract tenders, order documentation and accounts.
You will adhere to management plan procedures.
You will carry out measurement and valuation.
You will strive on building working relationships with clients and contractors.
You will process all tender documentation and raise RFIs as required.
Finally you will direct a younger team of Estimators and Quantity Surveyors.
Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an experienced Estimator with your practical experience supported by a qualification in estimating or quantity surveying.
You should have estimating experience gained in the commercial and retail sectors.
You will have an excellent knowledge and understanding of large commercial projects.
You will have experience of winning tenders and estimating within a team.
You will have a comprehensive level of commercial project experience
You will be able to work with a commercial management team and lead by example.
You will be experienced in the planning of major projects with particular emphasis on the utilization of estimating computer software.
You will have excellent inter personal skills, in order to promote the company`s core values and culture.
You will have the ability to motivate your team and be reliable and flexible.
You will have a high level of initiative, problem solving and will be someone who pays attention to the detail and highly organised.
You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally one other language, able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC literate with MS Office, e mail, the Internet.
You must be able to pass drugs and medical tests
Candidates other than from New Zealand must be available to travel on a working holiday visa and have a minimum of 6 months unexpired time on an existing working holiday visa or alternatively able to gain a working holiday visa to New Zealand.
If successful, candidates will have to pay their own costs of getting across to New Zealand i.e. visa £85, flights approx. £800, possibly cheaper and also pay for their own accommodation.
The end client will assist candidates with secure temporary accommodation for the first few weeks after they arrive and will also assist getting bank accounts and tax numbers set up.
