Our client is the remote site and facilities management subsidiary of a Group whose operations span three continents and are a diversified retail and distribution and contract services and supply group, supported by a world-class integrated logistics capability.
They specialise in the wholesale, distribution and retail of food and beverages, and represents a leading portfolio of global household name brands.
Their remote site and facilities management subsidiary of caters to industries as diverse as NGOs, Mining, Infrastructure, and Oil and  Gas, with a focus on temporary structures, facilities management and food and  hospitality services in both onshore and offshore sectors.
They are currently seeking a French speaking Operations Manager to be based in Sudan and South Sudan. The position is permanent.
The successful candidate will be one of 3 Operations Managers managing our clients operations in Sudan and South Sudan.
In conjunction with the other Operations Managers you will manage our clients operations on the agreed budget and will ensure adherence to or clients company policies and procedures as they relate to Finance, HR, Administration and Operations.
You will be responsible for the management of the relations with all stakeholders of the business unit: banks, insurance co etc…
You will control the use of the operational budget assigned to the division and supports that costs are within agreed budgets.
You will implement efficient standard control on all sites to ensure that the targeted costs ratio of the company are maintained.
You will co-ordinate with respective Operations Managers and ensure Group IMS policy is fully met end that all sites are compliant.
You will ensure implementation of Food Safety policy and making recommendations wherever applicable.
You will set HSE standards on all site(s) to ensure a safe and sound environment.
You will monitor the working environment to ensure that all Health & safety requirements are met and adhered to in order to ensure the safety of all staff and visitors on all site(s).
You will supervise KPI reporting of each operation.
You will ensure audits are carried out  and will establish follow up report
You will implement, manage and control supply chain process and procedure covering: Inventory, demand planning, vendor management, purchasing, catalogue maintenance, purchase order, import, cost control.
You will achieve and maintain at all times Contract Compliance.
You will monitor manpower to ensure that staff resources are maximised, overtime is minimised, all activities are covered and services provided to agreed customer service levels.
You will manage and recruit staff in accordance with the agreed policies and budgets of the company and handles all necessary disciplinary matters and staff issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
You will identify staff development needs to meet business needs and arranges appropriate training through HR. Presents as a role model and coaches more junior staff in the company values and behaviours expected from staff.
You will remain compliant with and manage external relationships with Government and regulatory authorities.
You will participate in project teams activities as required.
You will co-ordinate Group`s CSR strategy into the relevant operation.
You will ensure that the Culture and Value Programme is understood and the same is communicated to all staff to enable them to live up to the values at all times.
You will follow all applicable policies and procedures required for the successful execution of the job.
You will follow our clients IMS policy and meet the requirements of the organizations Integrated Management System which is compliant to international standards for Quality ( ISO 9001), Food Safety ( ISO 22000) Occupational Health and Safety
(OHSAS 18001) and Environmental Management System (ISO 1400).
You will co-operate with both Internal and External Auditors.
Finally you will make recommendations for continual improvement and will support improvement initiatives the Company undertakes.
Of graduate calibre, the ideal candidate will be an accomplished French speaking Operations Manager / Camp Services Manager / Facilities Manager and will have a proven track record in contract catering or facilities management sectors ideally in CANA and internationally.
Your practical experience should be supported by a Diploma or Degree in Business Management or in Catering / Hospitality or Facilities Management.
You will have a good knowledge of remote site management and your operational experience should have included responsibility for multi-site catering, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance.
Ideally your experience will have included managing budgetary and cost control management.
