Description :

Based in Oxfordshire, our Client is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of instrumentation for a diverse range of applications in the nuclear industry.  They aim to work closely with their customers to ensure that they provide innovative, high quality products, measurement systems and services.  Due to continued growth applications are sought for a dynamic, enthusiastic and professional Field Sales Engineer (Key Account Manager for the NPP (Nuclear Power Plant) market around the UK.  The position is permanent.
Reporting to the UK Sales Director, the successful candidate will be based in Central England, and their main responsibilities will be:
You will manage a territory and visit customers on regular basis, maximizing customer contact time and effectiveness
You will be the main point of contacts for all the UK NPP plus other key nuclear sites.
You will work with specific yearly targets
You will be developing the business strategy for the NPP market and talking to high level stakeholders
You will be assessing needs for the UK Nuclear New Build programme
You will present products to customers, identifying and exploring customer requirements and solutions
You will identify new customers and business potential within territory
You will be reporting sales activities and preparing reports and forecasts as required
You will be assisting with the preparations and attending conferences and exhibitions
You will split responsibilities: Sales/Business development management ratio 80/20.
The successful candidate will ideally be an accomplished Field Sales Engineer with a BSc in Physics or Science/Engineering as a minimum.
You will ideally have previous experience of selling to the nuclear industry.
You will have excellent sales, negotiation and influencing skills.
You should possess good commercial awareness.
You should possess effective communication and good organisation skills.
You will be able to work under pressure able to manage your time effectively.
You will have sufficient experience to be able to lobby within the nuclear industry to grow our Clients business; provide and develop the strategy for this market.
You will ideally have current security clearance to SC level or be willing and eligible to undergo the process (requires 5 years permanent residency in the UK).
The salary will be in the region of £30,000 depending on experience, with an opportunity to earn an additional bonus.  There is also a company car, and a comprehensive benefits package.  The position is permanent.
