Position:Permanent, Part-time
Job Role
My clients, a Retired General and his wife are looking for a couple (Tenant`s) to live in their 2 bed cottage on their estate based on the edge of Dartmoor nr Plymouth. There is part time work for both within the estate and in the house itself. Hours and rate of pay to be discussed.
Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Marines) and their partners are highly encouraged to apply.
Main Responsibilities
*Ground keeping duties (10-12 hours per week)
*House/pet sitting in the clients` absence (occasional weekends and holidays - by arrangement)
*Housekeeping duties, to include cleaning, washing and ironing (15 hours per week)
Essential Skills
*Some gardening/groundsman experience to include mowing, weeding, cutting back shrub, and lopping back trees, clearing drains and debris (there will be other reasonable duties)
*Basic handyman skills
*Security conscious
*Committed and highly trustworthy
Desirable Skills
*Drivers Licenses (due to the location - although bus services are available)
The cottage has been valued and rent set at £600 pcm.
This is an opportunity to live in an absolutely idyllic setting and would ideally suit a couple with a second income. There are also opportunities to earn other incomes within the village itself. The local amenities include a pub/restaurant, golf club, shops and garage. Major supermarkets are not far away and there are endless moorland walks on your doorstep.
