Our client, a national work based training provider based in Derbyshire are currently looking for a Vocational Work Based Tutor in Horticulture for their East Midlands region. This role has come about due to our clients continued success and further expansion. The role is permanent.
The main purpose of this role will be to instruct, assess and carry out other pedagogic activities which contribute towards high quality, effective and relevant learning experiences that are appropriate to the needs of Individual students.
You will be expected to provide learning support and functional skills training across a wide range of geographical areas which may include some overnight stays. You will also deliver and assess relevant vocational courses in the workplace including preparation of lesson plans and learning materials.
Your aim will be to ensure timely completion of all your learners and engage with them as required by funding rules and contract.
As part of you role you will be expected to promote and monitor Health and Safety, including safeguarding in all aspects of the role and record any health and safety issues that may arise as well as promote and monitor equality and diversity.
Knowledge and Skills:
The successful candidate will ideally hold an Assessor or Teaching qualification and have experience of teaching, however candidates with a level 2 Vocational Qualification or above and experience of working in their chosen vocational area may also be considered.
The successful candidate must hold a full UK Driver’s license and live within the East Midlands region.
Our client is looking for someone who is not only a good team player but also self-motivated due to this being a home base role. You must also be IT literate and a good communicator.
Due to the nature of this role all successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide at least 2 referees.
