Our Client is a leading supplier to the foodservice sector in the UK, Ireland, France and Sweden. Our clients new Distribution Centre in Essex is progressing to plan and it is now our client’s intention to begin recruiting for a number of positions that will play a key role in ensuring that the site is ready to go live during 2015.
The site which will have a 24 hour operational cycle will be of great significance to our clients overall distribution network once fully operational and it is therefore imperative that they have the right number of appropriately trained Transport / Distribution Administrators in place prior to the site going live.
They are currently seeking Stock Administrators to ensure that any successful candidates receive a thorough period of training well before the site is ready to go live. The positions are permanent.
Reporting into a Stock Team Manager, the successful candidates will assist the Stock Team Manager to ensure an effective administrative function is in place to support the work of the stock function.
Examples of responsibilities will be as follows and should be viewed as examples and not a definitive list of duties.
You will ensure the stock is in the right place at the right time to satisfy customer orders.
You will complete regular stock takes/perpetual inventory.
You will monitor discrepancies and investigate identified stock problems.
You will fully investigate fully all stock issues.
You will carry out data input and maintenance of relevant operating systems, including SAP.
You will assist with the preparation of reports, files and other documentation
You will liaise with customers, suppliers and other internal Company departments as required.
You will identify opportunities for greater efficiency within key business processes and make recommendations accordingly.
You will work to achieving various KPI’s.
You will abide by all Health & Safety and Legal requirements and will work within all Company policies and procedures.
You will promote good customer service.
Knowledge and Skills:
To be successful in your application you will be an accomplished Stock Administrator / Stock Controller and will ideally have experience of working in a fast paced distribution centre environment, be passionate about your role and be committed to delivering a truly outstanding customer experience.
You will have excellent inter-personal and strong communication skills.
You will have good attention to detail.
You will have excellent IT / PC skills, with an ability to pick up new processes quickly.
Knowledge of SAP system is highly desirable but not essential.
You should have the ability to prioritise in a busy environment.

Basic salaries will be competitive. In addition an unsocial hours allowance is payable for working between 6pm-10pm when you receive an additional 10% and for working between 10pm and 6am , an additional 20% is payable.

If successful in your application you will be required to spend some time working at some of our other clients locations during your induction period. Any relevant business expenses incurred will be reimbursed in line with company policy.
