HQ8142Support Engineer
Location:Swindon, Wilts
Salary:£25 - 29K DOE + company bonus after successful probation
A Support Engineer is required to sell AV installations to international companies and distributors for an established electronics manufacturer. The Support Engineer will be required to provide technical support and in specifying systems for commercial application. The Support Engineer will design applications to ensure products are tailored to need and devise, develop and deliver training courses and presentations for clients.
Applications from ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged.
The Support Engineer will work with the Training Manager to develop and deliver training courses and presentations on products. They will provide technical specification support to distributors and support distributors in the specification and design of applications. The post holder will be required to attend meetings and events to assist in specification and design.
Training for this specific role will be given to the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
As part of a team and in conjunction with the Training Manager develop training modules, from concept to structured courses
Provide training for sales people UK and worldwide
With the Training Manager support and develop product presentations for internet platforms
Advance integration drivers for client browser based control system
Attend meetings with distributors along with mechanical and electrical consultants with the intention of assisting in specification and supporting design of applications
Ensure equipment for exhibits at trade shows is set up correctly
Promote products in the UK and internationally through attendance and support of distributor events
Oversee internal IT networks
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
Extensive IP and control knowledge and experience
Proven technical background
Network experience (IP and CISCO)
Self-motivated
Professional
Dedicated
Team player
Willing to travel throughout the UK and abroad as and when required
Current driving licence
