HQ8344 Welder/Fabrication Engineer
Location: Bottesford, Notts
A Welder/Fabricator with an interest in radio communications is required for a small family business. The role involves fabricating and welding metal brackets for galvanising and trimming and packing ready for shipment to the radio communication industry.
Applications from ex-military candidates is strongly encouraged - especially from a Royal Signals background or equivalent (RF/UHF/VHF).
Customer sectors include: -
* Defence
* Marine
* Motor Racing
* Emergency Services
* General Radio Communications
Experience essential for this role:
* Welding using MIG / TIG
* Use and maintenance of metal cutting and drilling machinery (not CNC)
* Good engineering practices
The applicant would be expected to:
* handle and lift steel
* identify stock needs
* assist in the packing of orders
* have an eye for detail and work to tolerances
* a good knowledge of Health and Safety Working practices
The following would be an advantage:
* Forklift truck driving
* An interest in radio communications
* An interest in design
* Full clean driving licence (3.5 tonne max)
Must be reliable, disciplined and organised.
