Description :

Our Client is a highly respected Independent Co-educational Boarding School located in South Cumbria. The School is a vibrant, demanding and supportive community which encourages pupils and staff to be involved in as broad a range of activities as possible. Art, Drama and Music are especially strong, and the School has a national reputation for Sport. Due to the continued success of the School, they now seek to recruit an experienced HR Administrator and PA to the Operations Manager. The role is permanent.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will act as Personal Assistant and provide them with administrative support in relation to recruitment and other HR matters affecting the Operations Staff.
You will draft correspondence, contracts and job descriptions for newly appointed members of the Operations Staff, submitting them to the Operations Manager for approval.
You will assist with diary management.
You will take notes during disciplinary/capability/grievance hearings and other meetings, and produce typewritten records.
You will produce documentation bundles, (PowerPoint presentations, Visio charts etc.) for meetings and presentations.
You will provide whatever administrative support may reasonably be required to assist the Operations Manager in the performance of their role.
You will liaise with the Operations Manager in relation to recruitment requirements and produce/place advertisements for Operations Staff roles.
You will receive, acknowledge and collate applications for advertised posts within the Operations department, and distribute them to the Operations Manager for shortlisting purposes.
You will arrange interviews for shortlisted applicants, providing the Operations Manager with the documentation required for the interview process along with the documentation necessary to record decisions made during the shortlisting process.
You will ensure that successful applicants have completed the documentation required by the School for recruitment purposes e.g. application forms, medical questionnaires and payroll documentation.
You will guide successful applicants through the Enhanced DBS Certificate application process, and submit applications on behalf of both Schools.
You will enter information into the HR Database in relation to newly appointed members of the Operations Staff and update the HR Database in relation to existing members.
You will produce and update structural organograms and Induction Packs for Operations Staff.
You will also assists with the recruitment of staff for the International Summer School, and provide wider administrative support within the Bursary.
You will provide lunchtime cover for the Bursary Reception area when required to do so.

Knowledge and Skills:
You will be an accomplished Administrator able to produce demonstrable evidence of relevant administrative experience in a busy office environment.
You must have strong organisational skills and a methodical approach.
You must have a friendly, patient and diplomatic approach.
You must have the ability to prioritise a busy workload in order to ensure that deadlines are adhered to.
You must have the ability to communicate effectively with staff and members of the public face-to-face, by telephone, in email and in correspondence.
You will have the ability to work accurately and to pay close attention to detail.
You must be familiar with the MS Office range of software, including in particular Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio.
You will have an understanding of, and respect for, confidentiality.
Experience of administrative processes within an HR environment would be an advantage.
In return our client is offering a salary of £20,000 plus a benefits package.
