Our Client is part of a larger group and offer a range of piling and drilling services. They offer pile foundations for buildings and structures, drill geothermal boreholes for ground source heat pumps (GSHP) and drill wells for extracting groundwater. They specialise in restricted access CFA augered and driven piles using mini rigs and have worked extensively on complex reinforced concrete jobs including basements.
They are currently seeking a Well Driller. Your home base location should be close to Norwich and the majority of work is carried out in Norfolk but occasionally across other areas of Great Britain. The position is permanent.
You will manage a small drilling team and drill for water and geothermal wells.
You will be expected to attend to basic mechanical breakdowns and servicing.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ideally you will be an accomplished Well Driller, able to operate a tracked wet rotary drilling rig.
Our client is supportive to the ex-military community and welcomes applications from ex-military personnel who have drilling experience.
You should have experience of managing a small team.
Having experience of drill geothermal wells is not essential as most drillers who have been in the Armed Forces would be solely concerned with drilling for water.
You will be mechanically minded and have experience of attending to basic mechanical breakdowns and servicing.
You will be hard working and able to manage your own time.
Finally you should have a full UK Driver’s Licence and live fairly close to Norwich.
The salary will be around £35,100 per annum. In addition a mobile phone allowance is payable. Bonus is also payable and a company vehicle will also be supplied and also a fuel card.
Our client is prepared to fill this vacancy with a self-employed Contractor in which case a daily rate will be agreed at a higher rate than £35,100 per annum.
