Location: Tamworth, Staffordshire
Position: Permanent (Monday - Friday shift work with occasional weekend work)
An opportunity has arisen for the requirement of a Section Leader to join a family owned frozen food manufacturer. The Section Leader will lead and manage all aspects of the dairy and warehouse team whilst also maximizing performance by ensuring operational targets are met through structured delivery of KPIs. The Section Leader will also maintain high standards of quality ensuring customer specification in line with site CCP, GMP and Health and Safety.
Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
*Encourage a safe working environment for all employees by supporting and enforcing standards as set out in the Health and Safety policy
*Undertake team briefs on a daily basis that focus on key performances measures aligned to local productivity and performance to wider business issues.
*Maintain standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping in the factory through good manufacturing practice to ensure that customer standards are kept and audit requirements are fully met.
*Plan, organize and measure labour and material requirements within their area to ensure that both short and long term agreed targets are met.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
*Experience within a food manufacturing environment is desirable
*Understand relevant KPIs and supports the achievement of these
*Show reliability and good time keeping
*Strive to deliver \"right first time\" and minimise waste
*Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
*Good verbal and written communication and English skills
