Description :
Administration of the Oracle databases will be this roles main responsibility. An understanding of Middleware and the OS will also be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities;
*Create and maintain all databases required for development, testing, and production usage.
*Perform the capacity planning required to create and maintain databases.
*Responsible for the on-going tuning of the database.
*Plan, implement and test backup and recovery of the Oracle database.
*Manage ACFS and flex ASM storage for the environment.
*Provide technical support to Development.
Skills & Experience
*The successful candidate will have extensive experience of supporting in an enterprise environment.
*This must include previous experience of both RAC and Dataguard.
*Ideally OCP certified on 11g/12c
*Have proven experience of upgrading/patching in a HA environment and be able to demonstrate SQL tuning skills.
*Working knowledge of Linux, Oracle forms 10g, WebLogic Middleware and AIX OS would be desirable.
*Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure using own initiative and working to tight deadlines is also essential for this role.
