Shift:4 On / 4 Off

An opportunity has arisen for a Production Cell Leader on Nights to implement agreed production plans to achieve the required level of customer service & quality whilst assisting Cell Production Manager in day-to-day operations. The Production Cell Leader will develop the team in order to identify, resolve and improve HSE, quality and produc-tion issues.

The Production Cell Leader must have an HNC or Equivalent in Engineering and experience in ISO 9001 / 2000 Standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Health, Safety and Environment
*HSE duty of all employees: every employee must respect HSE rules defined by his/her site. Every employee has to point out environmental gaps and risky situations when he/she notices it.
*HSE duty of expertise: every employee participates to HSE analysis on his/her position scope. He/she car-ries out actions to ensure HSE rules are respected on his/her role(s) implications.
*HSE duty of a Line Manager: If the employee is a Line Manager, he/she ensures that people under his/her re-sponsibility, or people interacting with equipment under his/her responsibility, are respecting the HSE rules of the site.
Quality
*To manage production in such a way as to ensure that quality is maintained to the standards required by the company.
*To manage rework and screening of rejects (RACARS) in collaboration with the Quality Support function.
*Co-ordinate quality resource to complete root cause and corrective actions of RACARS in a timely manner.
*Maintain, analyse and interpret data held within quality system.
Production
*Organise day-to-day control of resources (machines, tooling, people) to include briefings at shift hand-over.
*Ensure team members complete manufacturing documentation (route cards, ACF`s, SPC`s etc).
*Conduct level 1 PSM team meetings on a daily basis and manage the progression of issues raised
*Achieve weekly/monthly KPI`s and business goals.
*Operate across all production cells as required.
*Ensure first line maintenance in carried out in line with Preventative Maintenance.
*All breakdowns must be reported to maintenance immediately using the maintenance breakdown system.
General Duties
*Deputise for Cell Production Manager as and when required.
*Maintain an awareness of operational issues, working to resolve these in a timely manner.
*Provide feedback on general issues affecting the cell, operations or company, through the Lisi Excellence Achievement Program (LEAP) Problem Solving Management (PSM) process.
*Work with Quality Cell Engineers, and Cell Engineers to implement agreed improvement plans/projects in a structured and timely manner. These are likely to include 8D`s, 4D`s, 5S`s & Lean Workshops.
*Contribute to maintaining and developing effective working relationships with other Departments.
*In liaison with Cell Production Manager`s, ensure compliance with Company (group and local) and, where applicable, external procedures, standards and policies, this will include effectively communicating these to the rest of the team.
*Daily control of absenteeism, time and attendance (T&A), and authorise overtime with Cell Production Man-ager.
*Undertake personnel tasks i.e. disciplinary interviews, recruitment and selection.
*Manage the performance of the team, including conducting appraisals and setting targets.
*Maintain a direct shop floor presence, operate machines / processes as and when necessary
*Any other adhoc duties as required.

Qualifications:

*BTEC HNC or Equivalent
Desirable
*IOSH Managing Safety
*LEAP Intermediate
*Six Sigma Green Belt
Experience:
Essential
*ISO 9001 / 2000
Desirable
*ILM, 5 years
*Use of Measuring Equipment
(Micrometres, Verniers, Shadowgraph etc)

Cross-functional Skills:

*Fluent in English (verbal, written and listening).

*The employee should be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Pow-erPoint)

*The employee should demonstrate a good understanding of supplier/customer relationships and possess a strong customer awareness and focus.
