A leading global company specialising in parts cleaning and waste management has a requirement for an On-site Chemical Waste Representative.
The position requires an ambitious, diligent, proactive and target-driven person and offers excellent growth within a global, market leading company.
Driving is required for this role, therefore applicants will ideally have a Category C LGV licence, Driver CPC and, preferably, an ADR Dangerous Goods Certificate. Training can be provided should an ADR Dangerous Goods Certificate not be held.
Drivers with 7.5 tonne certification will also be considered.
Previous experience of waste and solvent management is highly desirable but not essential as training can also be provided.
Please note: The role offers a £19380 basic salary and with support and leads provided by the company, a first-year £35,000 OTE is realistic and achieved by many new Representatives.
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Waste Branch Manager, the On-site Chemical Waste Representative will be responsible for:
Identify, develop and facilitate implementation of business opportunities and service developments with existing and potential customers;
Be responsible for all sales and on time service activities as assigned by the Branch Manager/Waste Manager;
Maintain Company high standard and quality of service to all existing and potential customers;
Oversee cleanliness, safe guarding and maintenance of capital equipment, vehicles and all other property;
Maintain a high Company profile image, and personal appearance;
Undertake within reason and within the capabilities, any other duties as directed by Management.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
It is expected the On-site Chemical Waste Representative will:
Possess good communication skills;
Be personable and outgoing;
Be a team player;
Able to work on own initiative, self-motivated and confident when dealing with people;
Ambitious and driven to achieve personal goals.
KEY SUCCESS CRITERIA
Attainment of specific assigned personal sales quotas, within an assigned time frame as directed by Management
Development and maintenance of good customer relations;
Preventing unnecessary waste of solvent or solvent pilferage, and preventing unnecessary damage and pilferage of capital supplies, including vehicles, allied product stock, and machines;
Overseeing operating efficiency of the service centre as directed by Branch Management;
Ensure attainment of year to date Branch sales targets as assigned;
Ensure the assigned company vehicle is in a clean condition and any defects are reported as soon as possible to Branch Management;
Timely uplift of all waste fluids from assigned customers as directed by Branch Management, ensuring ethical and profitable business.
SALARY
Basic annual salary is £19,380. With an established and monitored bonus structure, first year on target earnings of £35,000 can be realistically achieved. Many new Representatives have earned considerably more.
