POSITION LOCATION: London (Victoria)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting into the Operations Director, the People Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing personnel levels for Physical Operations. Making sure all operations are suitably staffed and managing the expansion and contraction of the workforce accordingly. This position will also involve close collaboration with the HR Manager.
Core duties and responsibilities will include:
- Operational Personnel Management for WFS Physical operations, working directly with the Operations Director.
- Ownership of the Crisis Management Response.
- Ownership of Security policy for deployed staff and coordination with HSSE in the context of safe travel policy.
- Ownership of training policy, development and implementation both pre deployments, during and bespoke requirements. To include identification and rectification of skill gaps.
- Ownership of the "Talent Register", outlining talent available for commercial projects that WFS will be involved with.
- Supporting the integration of NCS employee into the wider World Fuel Services Group. Working with stakeholders throughout World Fuel Services to make them aware of NCS talent and identify potential posts which match their skill set.
- Mentoring staff and providing support regarding their career and private life whilst deployed on assignments.
- Ability to visit deployed operations at least once in every 3 months.
- Assist in detailed planning relating to Operational Personnel Management for all WFS Physical operations. This includes but is not limited to the production of Job Descriptions, Organisational Charts, Network diagrams and flow chart reporting lines.
- Facilitate the insertion of staff into location.
- Coordinate the initial & annual non fuel training requirement.
PERSON SPECIFICATION (BACKGROUND AND SKILLS) :
- The successful candidate is likely to have experience as an Office Manager/Senior Admin Manager or Managing a Military or contract workforce.
- Previous Military experience at would be advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) are essential.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally is essential.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Experience of managing teams and workforce planning is essential.
- Strong planning and project skills are essential.
- Excellent MS Office/Excel skills are essential
- Experience of training personnel and a training qualification is desirable.
- Successfully managed the global deployment of staff would be desirable
- MS project/Visio would be desirable
