Our client is one of the UK`s largest judicial services group with circa 2,000 staff and self-employed Enforcement Officers recovering £300 million per year on behalf of taxpayers, businesses and individuals through ethical and integrated court order compliance.
They recover outstanding criminal fines, legal aid contributions, child support arrears, council tax, parking penalties, congestion charges and bus lane contraventions. They also recover unpaid Employment Tribunal Awards due to employees and unpaid invoices due to small businesses.
As part of their expansion they are now seeking to appoint additional Trainee Enforcement Officers. Vacancies exist in London and across the country. The positions are self-employed but can be considered permanent.
Reporting into an Enforcement Manager, you will visit defaulters at the addresses stated on warrants (includes Liability Orders and Writs) to obtain payment, execute warrants, make enquiries to trace the whereabouts of absconders or seize goods to the value of the warrant for sale at auction.
Specifically, you will operate on a self-employed basis, planning your own daily schedule from work allocated by our client.
You will visit residential addresses to execute warrants or seize goods to the value of the warrant adhering to our client`s policies and procedures and the legal requirements of the role at all times.
You will account for monies received and control the use of the manual receipt book and other documents, in accordance with policies and procedures.
You will return warrants where enforcement is not possible in a timely manner.
You will ensure that all seizure notices are kept in a secure place and are available on request to justify fees applied.
You will enter reports via appropriate devices / databases in accordance with client requirements.
You will comply with reasonable audit requests.
You will provide and maintain detailed incident reports.
You will undertake training and development as required by the role in order to represent our client in a professional and legally compliant manner.
Finally, you will maintain any vehicle leased via our client and will use it to carry out the role to the required standards.
Knowledge and Skills:
Our client is open minded as to your background but you are most likely to have a background in sales, ex- military, prison service, housing officer, police or the security sector.

No previous experience needed - FULL TRAINING GIVEN. You are paid during the training period and would be working for one of the largest judicial companies in the UK.
Candidates need to be disciplined, confident, persuasive and enjoy a challenging environment.
You must have good communication skills, able to communicate and interact with others at all levels.
You should have good interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy, able to deal with difficult people and able to remain calm, confident and response logically in difficult situations.
You will be able to work on your own initiative and without supervision.
You will possess good numerical and literacy skills, basic administration skills.
You will have high levels of self-motivation and able to work unsociable hours (between 6am and 9pm).
You must have a full UK Drivers Licence and access to a car. Vans can be leased from our client.
All roles are self-employed, earnings are not capped and there is a good platform to build an excellent career along with excellent earnings. Successful candidates will need to pass a DBS check.
Earnings in the first year allowing for a 12 week training programme will be in the order of £25-30k per annum. Thereafter earnings are likely to be in a range of £35 - 50k per annum. A laptop and tablet is supplied.
