A company that is leading its sector in the supply and servicing of site specific equipment across various disciplines, is acknowledging its success and year on year growth by seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join a dedicated and excellence focused team.

Responsibilities:

The Mechanical Field Service Engineer will perform precise location specific surveys for equipment improvements and maintenance.

The role is varied and you may spend time on the benches servicing and maintain the company’s fleet and stock. It may also include working on site along with other colleagues supporting service and general maintenance duties. Your role will include fault finding.

You will act as a company ambassador when you’re on site engaging with engineers and managers in job related matters and completing the appropriate company/client documents.

You will become part of our Emergency Breakdown Response Team who may be required in any part of the country, when you are approved by our Quality Team. In this event, you will be provided with a company vehicle containing all the required tools for the job.

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

Essential:

  • Full Driver’s Licence with less than 6 points on it
  • Experienced and trained in all machine shop processes
  • Experience on breakdowns, maintenance and commissioning activities
  • Familiarity and understanding of Mechanical and hydraulic drawings
  • Having a systematic and intuitive approach to fault finding
  • Computer literacy with accurate job specific data capturing
  • Accurate and timely completion of Maintenance Records and Reports.
  • Experience in overhauling of industrial equipment.
  • After completed works conducting quality assurance and testing, to ensure equipment works
  • Dis-assembly and re-assembly expertise

Desirable:

  • Vertical borer experience
  • Related Health and Safety awareness
  • CNC experience
  • Work to Company Policy and Procedures in an efficient manner

  • Manage projects and deliver under tight deadlines and pressure
  • Be efficiency driven whilst having an awareness of necessary social, cultural, environmental, health and safety issues
  • Pay great attention to detail, accepting great responsibility and exercising good judgement
  • Great interpersonal skills and act as company’s ambassador
  • Self-motivated, conscientious and pro-active with an excellent attendance record
