A company specialising in gyroplane manufacturing and distribution has a requirement for an engineer to oversee repairs and modifications of gyroplanes to CAA Standard.
The company, with an 11-year history, is expanding quickly and an engineer, preferably A37-qualified, is needed to join their team who are passionate about what they do and strive to exceed achieve the best standards and exceed expectations.
The role is predominantly mechanical engineering/airframe-based and focused primarily on 912UL and 914 engines.
It is essential applicants are experienced mechanical engineers and/or aircraft technicians. Candidates not possessing essential qualifications and experience qualification cannot be considered.
The company is keen to receive applications from ex-military candidates, particularly individuals with mechanical and/or aviation engineering experience and who are A37-qualified.
JOB SPECIFICATION
The Gyroplane Engineer will:

have a strong interest in aircraft engines, particularly gyroplanes.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Gyroplane Engineer will:
Inspect, service, repair and test gyroplanes;
Plan and prioritise work in order to complete on time;
Carry out routine inspections to diagnose repairs or work required;
Diagnose and carry out repairs for each task individually;
Ensure parts are available if required to carry out repairs;
Ensure admin associated with each task (worksheet orders, sign-offs, recording time, etc) is completed thoroughly and on time;
Upholding company standards and provide exceptional customer service where required.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
The Gyroplane Engineer will ideally be A37-qualified as well as possessing strong mechanical engineering skills. The role is predominantly mechanical engineering/airframe-based and focused primarily on 912UL and 914 engines.
SALARY
Both contract and permanent employees will be considered. Pay equates to £15 - £25 per hour (£28,000 – £48,000 per annum). Overtime is available occasionally at a flat rate.
HOURS
The Gyroplane Engineer will work Monday to Friday, normal working hours.
