A Grounds / Landscape Operative is required for a rapidly expanding company in North Kent. In-house training is provided to ensure compliance with all HSE regulations when using strimmers, hedge trimmers and lawn mowers. The Grounds / Landscape Operative must be flexible as start and finish times vary depending on access to the work site. Working hours also vary to reflect the time of year. This job provides great opportunity for working overtime including weekends. The gardening industry is an extremely physical and demanding one. The successful candidate will spend time digging, planting, weeding, carrying loads and lifting in addition to construction of sheds, building walls, patios and fences. Because of the environment in which the Grounds / Landscape Operative will be working, undertaking a DBS check is essential.

Responsibilities:
Plant, weed and dig flower beds and borders within schools or public parks/community gardens
Prune shrubs
Utilise strimmers, lawn mowers and hedge trimmers to assist with works
Ensure grounds worked on are presented at a consistently high standard
Ensure all equipment and tools are maintained and clean after use
Complete a report on work carried out at the site once completed
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
Essential:
Full UK driving licence
DBS (or willingness to undergo this check if offered the job)
Desirable:
Previous experience within the gardening industry
