Centrally located with easy access to Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Ashford and Maidstone, The Priory Hospital Ticehurst House has 70 beds and offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient specialist mental health services for young people and adults in a safe and supportive environment.
The role:
We are seeking a full time staff grade doctor to work on our Adult Acute wards which comprise 16 Female and 7 Male beds. You will deliver high quality clinical services to patients in partnership with the unit`s multi-disciplinary team, Consultants and Resident Medical Officer.
You will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive a holistic and person-centric treatment programme, undertaking psychiatric assessments to determine and inform the delivery of the Care Programme. You will be supervised and directed by The Consultant Psychiatrist/s and be responsible for the professional supervision of clinical staff members.
Demonstrable experience of working within psychiatry is essential and previous experience of working within a secure and /or step-down setting is desirable. An MBBS qualification or equivalent is required along with knowledge of Section 2 assessments and approval processes under the Mental Health Act. A passion to work within a team-orientated culture and a drive to deliver values and evidenced based patient care is key.
