Oaktree Manor specialises in working with men and women with a primary diagnosis of learning disability and sensory impairment, presenting with high risks of challenging behaviours and forensic history. Patients may also be diagnosed with co-existing conditions of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger’s Syndrome or Personality Disorder.

Our Nursing Support Officer role involves:

  • Providing an efficient and effective ward based administration service to the Nursing Team, under the direction and guidance of the Clinical Nurse Manager
  • Providing full administrative support to the Nursing Staff working on the wards
  • Taking minutes as required (e.g. Ward Meetings, CN & CNM Requirements)
  • Arranging appointments, meetings and room bookings, maintaining the ward diary
  • Receiving and processing calls and messages quickly, courteously and efficiently
  • Maintaining the unit’s filing and record-keeping in accordance with Mental Health Act legislation and Hospital’s Policies and Procedures

To be successful as Nursing Support Officer you’ll need:

  • To be efficient and well organised
  • To be able to effectively support a nursing team across three wards
  • To be proficient in Word Processing, Excel, Diary Management
  • Experience in a similar environment would be beneficial
