Providing quality, inspiring innovation and delivering value is what we set out to achieve at Priory Healthcare. Enabling our patients with mental health difficulties to receive a truly integrated and holistic approach to their treatment, regardless of complexity or severity, thanks to the knowledge and expertise of our multidisciplinary clinical teams.
The Woodbourne Priory Hospital is a 56-bed acute psychiatric hospital for adults and adolescents, based in Edgbaston Birmingham, offering a wide range of care to our varied client base of inpatient, outpatient and day patients.
We are currently looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants to join our Acute and PICU units. The Acute unit will be caring for 18 - 25 year olds who have severe and critical needs. Our aim will be to work quickly to assess their needs and give them the care they need to enable them to go back into the community.
The new PICU is a service for patients who have a severe mental illness and are in the acute phase of that illness. The service also treats patients who have a dual diagnosis and have a complex presentation.
Our PICU services specialise in the treatment of patients who cannot be managed in acute settings, transfers from other PICU units and the prison services. The service will excel in treating the most complex individuals with a person centred approach and comprehensive risk management.
We are looking for motivated and skilled people who are committed to putting the needs of our service users above all else, delivering the best possible results and changing the lives of those in our care. This fast paced, acute environment, will appeal to those who enjoy working in a challenging and rewarding setting.
You will be caring and attentive with the skills to build strong and trusting relationships with people. You should be prepared to work in an environment that can be very demanding and unpredictable. It is also important that you work well in a team as you will work alongside qualified nurses and staff from other professions
From education to hospitals, care homes and secure facilities, the Priory Group of Companies offers individually tailored, multidisciplinary treatment programmes for those with complex educational needs or requiring acute, long-term and respite mental healthcare.
The integrated strength of each service provides a seamless transition for the individual as they progress between higher and lower dependency care and across services. This unique approach ensures that every individual has the opportunity to achieve the best possible outcomes and quality of life with the Priory Group.
As 85% of our services are publicly funded and delivered in partnership with commissioners, our teams work with commissioning bodies across the country to provide transparent pricing models and evidence-based care programmes.
All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland. We are an equal opportunities employer.
