Mildmay Oaks is a low secure and locked rehabilitation service for men with learning disability and autism spectrum disorder, and for women with learning disability.
The role:
- Contributing to psychological assessments
- Providing psychological interventions on a 1:1 and group basis to patients, monitoring and reporting upon their effectiveness
- Contribute to Multidisciplinary working
- Assisting in training staff
- Maintaining clinical databases as required
- Completion of outcome measures as required
- Writing reports and designing presentations as required
- Undertaking/contributing to research as directed
To be successful as Assistant Psychologist, you’ll need:
- Minimum of upper second class honours degree in Psychology and be eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
- Previous experience of working in a clinical setting with people who have challenging behaviour for at least 12 months or equivalent
- Understanding of and willingness to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team within therapeutic frameworks
- Computer literate (word processing and data analysis, including SPSS)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
