Mildmay Oaks is a low secure and locked rehabilitation service for men with learning disability and autism spectrum disorder, and for women with learning disability.

The role:

  • Contributing to psychological assessments
  • Providing psychological interventions on a 1:1 and group basis to patients,  monitoring and reporting upon their effectiveness
  • Contribute to Multidisciplinary working
  • Assisting in training staff
  • Maintaining clinical databases as required
  • Completion of outcome measures as required
  • Writing reports and designing presentations as required
  • Undertaking/contributing to research as directed

To be successful as Assistant Psychologist, you’ll need:

  • Minimum of upper second class honours degree in Psychology and be eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Previous experience of working in a clinical setting with people who have challenging behaviour for at least 12 months or equivalent
  • Understanding of and willingness to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team within therapeutic frameworks
  • Computer literate (word processing and data analysis, including SPSS)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
