The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, acute, rehabilitation and PICU services.
The role:
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to assist and support the Psychology Team in providing psychological services to adults across a range of inpatient settings. Applicants should have a degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) and be eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with British Psychological Society (BPS).
Applicants must have previous relevent clinical experience as an Assistant Psychologist or associated discipline in mental health
The assistant will:
- Carry out assessments and direct interventions under the supervision of a Clinical/Counselling psychologist.
- Support multidisciplinary teams and work with staff, families and carers.
- Contribute to teaching, training and research in the department.
- Assist in the development, coordination and running of therapeutic groups.
- Be expected to carry a clinical caseload including individual and group work (under supervision).
