Life Works is a prestigious private treatment centre in Surrey.  Specialising in offering the highest quality treatment for alcohol and drug addiction, eating disorders, depression and anxiety, Life Works currently has a good rating by the CQC.  Life Works also carries a level 5 rating from food hygiene. 

The role:

You will be required to work one weekend per month, Friday 2:00pm - 7:00pm, Saturday 10:00am - 7:00pm, Sunday 10:00am - 7:00pm.  The other 22 hours will be worked during the week.

We require someone with catering experience. 

Some of the duties required:

  • To operate the kitchen in a safe and hygienic manner, complying with relevant health and safety and food hygiene legislation
  • To manage stock levels to ensure that correct stock levels of essential foods are always available to out of hours staff, including placing daily orders for dry and fresh goods for following day
  • To prepare the evening snack of cheese and biscuits and fresh fruit exactly in accordance with the meal plans.
  • To close down the kitchen by 7pm insuring that all foodstuffs are wrapped and put away and the catering equipment is cleaned and put away and mop floor and wipe down all surfaces, removing all cloths from the kitchen to the laundry.
  • To ensure that temperature checks and food probes are recorded daily, and all client census sheets are completed.
  • To ensure that store room is clean, tidy and mopped at the end of the shift, and that all produce required for breakfast is clearly available for overnight staff.
  • To ensure that any member of staff who enters the kitchen has received the relevant training.
  • To manage the supplier relationships including submitting invoices for payment where required
  • To work in cooperation with the dietician and clinical staff to ensure that clients with eating disorders are served exactly what their meal plans specify.
