The Priory Hospital – Altrincham is part of the Priory Group, Europe’s leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health. The hospital has an established reputation for providing the highest standards of care together with an extensive range of clinical services. The hospital has residential facilities for 50 patients as well as day care and outpatient services.
The main purpose of this role is to supervise the effective and efficient delivery of housekeeping services across the hospital. You will be the face of the department and wth this in mind you will need a good management style with a strong customer service bias in order to deliver the high operational and legislative standards that Priory expects.
The role holder will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the department, this includes making sure all rotas for the team are in place to cover the needs of the site, deploying team resources in the most effective way and the ability to prioritise and resolve day to day problems effectively. You will have excellent communication skills in order to communicate effectively with your team, senior manager and the wider hospital team. It is essenital that you have a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation including COSHH and infection control.
The role holder will be responsible for the purchase and supply of materials from approved suppliers and will ensure the accurate reconciliation of goods against invoices, experience of using IT systems is highly desirable. With the support of the Support Services Manager the role holder will assist in the recruitment and development of staff including the performance management of staff. The role holder will identify and report damage, faults and other related issues to the maintenance department to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations. Previous experience of working in a related environment and managing a team is essential.
