Here at Stockton Hall Hospital in York, we currently have a vacancy for one full-time Housekeeping Assistant.
We are a medium secure 112 bedded unit spanning over 7 wards, caring for people with mental illness, personality disorders, learning disabilities.
Job Purpose:
- To assist in providing the highest standard of cleanliness within the hospital
- To assist in the provision of a professional housekeeping service within the hospital
Main Duties:
- To clean and maintain all allocated areas
- To clean and maintain the fixtures, fittings and furnishings and report any defects arising
- To ensure that all areas are adequately stocked with supplies and that the stock control system in place is adhered to
- To assist team leaders when and where necessary
- To assist the Hotel Services Manager when and where necessary
- To ensure the correct chemicals are used along with the correct dosage system
- To ensure good practices of Health & Safety including COSHH are carried out
To be successful as Housekeeping Assistant, you’ll need:
- Ability to work as part of a team and a mature outlook together with a flexible approach are essential
Qualifications
- No qualifications necessary but some previous experience within a similar setting is desirable
