Oaktree Manor specialises in working with men and women with a primary diagnosis of learning disability and sensory impairment, presenting with high risks of challenging behaviours and forensic history. Patients may also be diagnosed with co-existing conditions of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger’s Syndrome or Personality Disorder.
The role:
Our Maintenance Person role involves:
- Responding to the needs of the services in respect of preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and building projects and repairs in all Partnerships in Care facilities with due regard for the safety of patients, staff and public.
- Assisting to maintain grounds and patient gardens in excellent condition, including but not exclusive to: grass cutting, weeding, upkeep of pots, maintaining flower borders.
- To assist, when required, with outside contractors on site.
- To ensure that, at all times, safe working practices are implemented according to relevant legislation.
- Other tasks commensurate with the role.
- Being part of an on call system out of hours.
To be successful as Maintenance Person, you’ll need:
- Previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record is required, working in a maintenance or building role along with a good understanding of health and safety legislation.
- You will be able to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative and follow instructions.
- Ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
