The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation and PICU services.
We are currently looking to recruit a Ward Clerk on Meadows CAMHS PICU.
Meadows is a 10 bedded child and adolescent mixed psychiatric intensive care unit which offers assessments and treatment to young people, male and female with complex needs, up to the age of 18.
We have a highly skilled multidisciplinary team who can offer a wide range of interventions. Meadows is one of only a few specialist child and adolescent psychiatric intensive care units in the UK.
We strive to work in collaboration with all disciplines; including working very closely with families / carers and patient`s home team to ensure that all care provided enhances the recovery process.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of one years experience working within an administrative, customer service, clinical or other appropriate background. This role of the ward clerk is ward based. In addition the role is a key and central team member carrying out ward clerk duties and supporting the nursing team.
Educated to GCSE (Grades A-C) or equivalent standard, and should possess a good working knowledge of Excel and have excellent and competent IT skills. The post holder will be required to organise and prioritise their own work within established procedures and processes. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritise a workload. In addition the ward clerk will have face to face contact with with patients, relatives and other professionals.
Key accountabilities of the role are to maintain patient files, update patient information systems, manage records, input data onto the incident reporting system, maintain records, manage day to day funds for the unit, answer ward phone, administrative duties and assist the management team of the unit.
