Kemple View is a 90 bedded site offering 56 Low Secure beds and 34 Locked Rehabilitation beds catering to the treatment needs of service users with a Mental Illness and/or Personality Disorder, maximising their opportunity for recovery, rehabilitation and independent living.
This hospital also has a dedicated and purpose-built ward offering a Low Secure Forensic Specialist Older Age service for patients over the age of 50. A higher profile is given to this patient group`s physical healthcare, complex psychiatric needs and where required, mobility and daily living aids.
The role:
The new candidate will work as part of a team within the kitchen and under a head chef. The kitchen will be busy as they must prepare meals for staff and patients. The candidate must have a valid UK driving licence as driving across site is an essential part of the job role.
Our Catering Assistant role involves:
- Responsible for correct washing / cleaning and storage procedures for kitchen utensils, restaurant plates and cutlery.
- Responsible for dish-washing machine in regards to cleaning and correct operation.
- Maintain a professional approach at all times, conducting yourself in a smart, clean, hygienic and orderly manner.
- Maintain flexible working hours at all times.
- To maintain health and safety at work practices at all times.
- To assist in basic food preparation eg Salads, sandwiches and vegetables.
- To carry out the duties placed on employees by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, i.e.
- To co-operate with their employees as far as is necessary to meet with the requirements of legislation.
- To be aware of, and comply with, hospital policies and Health and Safety requirements and responsibilities
