Beverley House is a 24-bedded rehabilitation hospital for women over the age of 18, situated in the heart of the community in Birmingham.
Patients admitted to Beverley House may be informal or detained under the Mental Health Act with a primary diagnosis of mental illness and personality disorder with complex needs
The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a confident, motivated and creative Occupational Therapist (OT) to work alongside our current Lead OT in an established multi-disciplinary team at Beverley House. The OT service utilises the Model of Human Occupation framework to provide a comprehensive assessment and treatment program.
Role requirements:
- Candidate must have HSPC Registration.
- Flexible to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
- The role involves completing holistic assessments with allocated case load to identify functional daily living needs, complete community risk assessment and other standardised assessments. You will provide supervision, appraisal, support and guidance to junior staff, ensuring that the occupational therapy contributions are professional and systematically applied.
