The Priory Hospital Hemel Hempstead is a 38 bedded Hospital which offers a home and treatment for adults aged 18 with no upper limit that have enduring mental health and physical illness and demonstrating challenging behaviour.
The Priory Hospital Hemel Hempstead is looking for an experience Registered General Nurse (RGN) (5yrs+). You would ideally be an RGN who has worked in A & E or community nursing. The applicant would be responsible for co-ordinating the planning of specialist clinics provided externally for patients with physical health care needs, i.e. GP’s, phlebotomy, dietetics, podiatry, physiotherapy, Psychotropic Medication Monitoring Clinic (PMMC) Clinic and CPMS. The successful candidate would need to be able to deliver training and educate nursing staff and MDT’s including wound care, tissue viability, phlebotomy, catheterisation, suture removal, diabetic monitoring and chronic disease management. They would be responsible for the management and audit of infection control within the unit and provide professional advice and support to staff in all clinical and non-clinical areas.
