Tadley Court School is part of Priory Education, one of the UK’s leading providers of schools and colleges for young people with complex needs. The Gatehouse is a residential home on the grounds of Tadley Court School.
Set in a semi-rural location within four acres of beautifully mature grounds, specialising in the care and education of pupils between the ages of 5 to 19, who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Children may also have challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding.
Within our safe, structured and predictable environment, pupils will develop the skills needed to live as independently as possible, so that they are able to enjoy their lives and make real life choices as they reach adulthood.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage our Childrens’ Home.
The core task of this senior management post will be to ensure excellent standards of care and therapeutic services are maintained. You will ensure that the environment and all services provided comply with statutory regulations, governance and quality standards. The post holder will undertake the Registered Manager responsibilities with Ofsted and provide strategic leadership ensuring a process of continuous improvement. Liaising with outside agencies and stake holders you will demonstrate professionalism and act as a role model for staff.
What we would like from you:
• Hold a Social Work Degree or NVQ/QCF Level 5
• Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development
• Be an experienced manager in a residential/social care setting
• Have experience of working with children and young people with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties
• Be a strong and effective leader
• Be emotionally resilient
• Have the ability to work flexibly and demonstrate resourcefulness
• Have a strong `can do` attitude
• Have highly developed organisational skills
• Effective communication skills
