Description :

Priory Education and Children’s Services is a leading company in the UK offering independent behavioural care for commissioners across the UK. With over 100 high quality schools, colleges and homes we focus on making a real and lasting difference for everyone we support.

Set in a semi-rural location within four acres of beautifully mature grounds.

Part of the Priory’s specialist Education Service, Linden House children’s home is a registered home for up to seven young people aged 11 to 18 who have learning disabilities, which may include autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) and complex associated difficulties. Young people over this age may be deemed appropriate to remain in the home if it is their best interests and to support their continued education. This home is open 52 weeks per year.

We believe Linden House Children’s Home is a very special home for children and young people where daily living experiences and activities are meaningful and memorable and are designed to meet the needs of individual children in areas that are personal to them.

Linden House accommodates children and young people with a primary diagnosis of moderate to severe autism with moderate challenging behaviour and associated conditions such as ADHD and Tourette’s Syndrome.  Are you ready to make a real and lasting difference? Would you like to be part of a team committed to ensuring that our children and young people achieve their full potential?

As a Night Waking Officer you will have responsibility to ensure that the children and young people in your care are safe.

This is a waking night, 52 week post which requires staff to be alert and observant at all times. In addition to regular checks on the children and young people you will be assigned additional tasks which might include administration and laundry.

What we`d like from you:

  • Emotional resilience
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness
  • A strong `can do` attitude
  • Effective communication skills

Previous experience in a special needs environment would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given to candidates who can demonstrate that they possess the skills required to be successful and a desire to learn.

If you would like to apply, please complete the application form fully as we cannot short list from a C.V.
