Priory Education and Children’s Services is a leading company in the UK offering independent behavioural care for commissioners across the UK. 

Priory College Swindon, Stroud Campus is an new and exxciting development linked to our estblished and well respected College in Swindon.  We are an independent specialist day and residential college for young people aged 16 to 25 with autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger`s syndrome and associated complex needs including behavioural difficulties.

The college has a number of residential houses based in the Swindon community and this new residence, situated within an hour of the main campus, will form part of that network, have it`s own identity  and working ethos. This aim of our service is to provide our students with the opportunity to experience independent living as they prepare for the next steps and stages in their lives.

We provide every young person with an individually tailored programme of education, care, work experience, leisure, life skills and training within the community, to enable them to live as independently as possible.

You will join a dedicated team of staff helping to create a safe, secure and independent living environment where our students have a sense of belonging within their group and a sense of ownership of their home. Our approach enables young people to develop the confidence and skills they need to progress towards adulthood, including further or higher education and sustainable independent living in the community.

Priory College College, Swindon is an established specialist provision supporting young people aged from 16 to 22+ both in a mainstream college setting and a residential environment..

Priory College is a term time only provision for 38 weeks of the year and all staff will also be required to attend mandatory training of up to two weeks during the college holiday breaks (Times & dates TBC)

Our Night Waking Team support our students within our residential settings throughout the night.  You will available to help and support students` anxieties, promote and support a settling routine as well as a waking routine that enables each student to start their day positively and prepared for the day ahead.  You will work as part of a small team of Night staff but enjoy the larger team working of the whole college.  Although your primary role will be during the night you will be expected to contribute to the broader College ethos of helping each and every student make progress and develop social and personal skills.

Experience and knowledge of Aspergers Syndrome is paramount, education support & care support will be useful, but full training will be provided for successful candidates. You will need to have achieved Level 2 in Literacy & Mathematics. You will either have a Diploma in Social Care or be prepared to train for this in your first year of employment.

You will need to have the ability to support young people in different environment, be highly organised, enthusiastic and able to adapt quickly to different behaviours. A full driving licence is also preferable.

For all roles we require a minimum of two references.  References provided must cover the last 5 years.

Please be advised that references will be requested prior to interview for all roles within our schools.
