Recently graded as `Good` by Ofsted, Priory Lodge School Post 16 Learning Hub forms an integral part of Priory Lodge School for young people aged 7-19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger’s syndrome and associated difficulties.

We seek to recruit dedicated and talented staff who are highly committed to making a difference. Located in Putney, SW London, the Post-16 Learning Hub caters for up to 20 students.  We aim to deliver the highest level of education and care according to individual needs in a safe, positive and structured environment.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Possession of a relevant leadership, teaching or training qualification (e.g. PTTLS, DTTLS, PGCE).
  • Possession of A1 Assessor Award (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • IV qualification would be desirable, or willingness to work towards
  • Evidence of leading vocational curriculum design and development skills and the ability to assess effectively
  • An on-going interest in national vocational initiatives and developments and the ability to ensure that the curriculum is up to date and relevant to employment trends
  • Commitment to an inclusive education
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Evidence of the ability to work effectively with colleagues
  • Demonstrable leadership and management ability
  • Vision, drive and energy to build on our achievements.
  • Possession of the ability to communicate a strong vision of success to students, parents and the wider community

As our Manager of Post 16 you will play a key strategic role in the Senior Leadership Team, assisting the Head Teacher in the effective leadership, organisation and management of the Post 16 unit in order to raise learning outcomes for all students.

We believe strongly in developing all members of our team through CPD and work closely with other colleges and work experience providers in several different alliances and partnerships.

Visits to the Post-16 Learning Hub are preferred as it will give you an opportunity to meet the students and staff and find out more about us. Please call the school office to make an appointment. However if this is not possible in the short time frame please telephone to book a time for a discussion with the Head Teacher.

References

For all roles we require a minimum of two references.  References provided must cover the last 5 years.

Please be advised that references will be requested prior to interview for all roles within our schools.

If you are applying to work within our Children’s Homes we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults.
