This vacancy has arisen due to the continued development of our post 16 provision based in Hinckley for students with ASD.
The post 16 site offers a safe, structured and predictable environment for pupils to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible and make real life choices as they reach adulthood.
We are seeking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant, who has an understanding of how to meet the additional needs of pupils in a specialist provision, to join our vibrant and enthusiastic team.
The successful applicants will be required, under the direction of the Senior Teacher, to support educational sessions in Progression House, in the community and in a range of post 16 college settings. The ability to work flexibly, use iniative and have the confidence to deal with challenging behaviours are essential for this post as is an ability to self manage and have a liking for young people on the autistic spectrum.
The school will provide any additional training required and you will enjoy working with a very supportive staff team who are enthusiastic and committed to the progression of their students.
